Crawford & Associates is celebrating 10 years in business! Thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve this milestone.
Congratulations to Ellen Tiedemann! She has been selected to receive APWA Sacramento Chapter’s 2022 Award for Young Leader. She will be awarded a plaque during a National Public Works Week celebration. Well earned, Ellen!
We are happy to welcome back Johnathan Wright to Crawford & Associates! Johnathan was one of our first employees and left to join the Army Corps of Engineers. He realized he missed us too much, so decided to join us again. John is a registered Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer and brings experience in Levee design. So glad you have you back John!
We are proud to say as of 2020 our Sacramento Laboratory is Caltrans certified. Our district 3 office specializes in soils and aggregate testing. Technicians are accredited for aggregate sampling in the field, nuclear gauge testing and relative compaction testing. Caltrans job sites require the personnel on site to be certified by them for quality assurance purposes.
Our accreditations and persons accredited can be found here.
Congratulations to Ellen Tiedemann for passing the PE exam! It took a lot of studying and some rescheduling (thanks, Covid-19), but she did it. Way to go, Ellen!
Double congratulations to Maria Ayala, who passed her EIT and started her engineering career at Crawford! She also recently became engaged. We are so happy for you Maria!
Crawford & Associates project “Mad River Crossing Pipeline Replacement Project” recently won Outstanding Water Project of the Year at the ASCE San Francisco Section 2019 Project Awards. Crawford worked with GHD Eureka on the project, which will replace a ductile iron pipe attached to a 1930’s era railroad bridge. Crawford provided geotechnical assessment and recommendations for alternative pipeline crossings, including a new aerial pipeline crossing with suspensions towers or installation under the river by horizontal directional drilling methods.
Crawford & Associates welcomes Chris Trumbull! Chris comes to us with more than 31 years of experience in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering. A graduate of San Jose State University, Chris has experience in transportation, public works, flood control, hydropower, essential facilities, and military projects. He has managed projects for federal, state, and local agencies. In his spare time, Chris enjoys dirt bike riding, water skiing, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife Sonia.
