July 2024 – Crawford reaches 60 employees!
Crawford hit an amazing milestone of 60 employees just one month before our 12th Anniversary. We are excited to expand our Construction Services team with the hire of Rob Hill as our Director of Construction Services, who will oversee our special inspectors and technicians.
Nick Cavanagh and Teri Ozuna joined us this year to build our Business Development Department. Jennifer Alexander, Project Coordinator, joined in July to help our firm acclimate to such rapid growth.

Crawford & Associates has acquired the Geotechnical, Materials Testing, and Inspection department of LACO. This transition has added new personnel to our Ukiah office and grows our offices into the Santa Rosa and Eureka areas of California. We are happy to welcome back Johnathan Wright to Crawford & Associates! Johnathan was one of our first employees and left to join the Army Corps of Engineers. He realized he missed us too much, so decided to join us again. John is a registered Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Engineer and brings experience in Levee design. So glad you have you back John!

We are proud to say as of 2020 our Sacramento Laboratory is Caltrans certified. Our district 3 office specializes in soils and aggregate testing. Technicians are accredited for aggregate sampling in the field, nuclear gauge testing and relative compaction testing. Caltrans job sites require the personnel on site to be certified by them for quality assurance purposes.

Awards
Crawford & Associates project “Mad River Crossing Pipeline Replacement Project” recently won Outstanding Water Project of the Year at the ASCE San Francisco Section 2019 Project Awards. Crawford worked with GHD Eureka on the project, which will replace a ductile iron pipe attached to a 1930’s era railroad bridge. Crawford provided geotechnical assessment and recommendations for alternative pipeline crossings, including a new aerial pipeline crossing with suspensions towers or installation under the river by horizontal directional drilling methods.

Crawford & Associates welcomes Chris Trumbull! Chris comes to us with more than 31 years of experience in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering. A graduate of San Jose State University, Chris has experience in transportation, public works, flood control, hydropower, essential facilities, and military projects. He has managed projects for federal, state, and local agencies. In his spare time, Chris enjoys dirt bike riding, water skiing, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife Sonia.
